My new oncologist told me that Phesgo for someone with HER2 positive endometrial cancer was not beneficial enough compared to someone with HER3, and the side effect of diarrhea has been difficult for some, as well as more heart toxicity for someone with hypertension like me, so I took her advice to do injected Herceptin Hylecta (if my insurance allows, otherwise Herceptin).
I didn't ask, but I expect they save Enhertu for cases that have progressed further, like yours. It sounds like Phesgo is similar to Enhertu in that way.
What about Enhertu? Herceptin stopped working for me so I was switched to Enhertu. I will have my third treatment tomorrow. My tumor is very HER2 positive 3+. For me Herceptin was easier to tolerate and had less side effects than Enhertu. But everyone is different. Best of luck to you. Marcia
I wonder if anyone on this website is participating in the clinical trial and can give us their experiences on these new combos. I was told the participants would learn which arm they were randomized to at the beginning of the treatment.
Please keep me posted. There are many new treatments being studied. I hope they get positive results from this trial. In about a week and a half I expect to see my oncologist. I am going to about ask her about theses differences . I will post the information. Marcia
