Hey ladies.Thank all of you for the let's say pat on the back .I deserve it after y'all would read my whole story.Ive been contacted to put it in book form.Im on Facebook if anyone wants to talk I could tell you so much.Good miracles.Drs mistakes.Just wow .I have fought over 50 Drs because in my heart it just didn't feel right .End results the apology the blessing are still ringing my phone.Now vaginal bachtherpy is that little miricle in the mist of all we been through..Google scares you to death.No burning when urinating.No severe fatigue.no pain and girls when I had my robic hstorectomy they even took out intestines.vaginal bachtherpy is your blessing.its peace of mind to the unknown.Its a God sent to any lady in our situation.If you can go bk and reread my whole 6 months of my journey I have the right to say this ..I beg any of you after surgery don't trust don't just hope it's all gone .and please be excited that vaginal bachtherpy is a reassurance to a surgery that be honest we don't have a clue what all cells were left .they don't tell us anything.So please please don't torture yourself for years wondering.Vaginal bachtherpy is just that .A blessing with zero side effects and peace of mind.. Advocate for yourself first and the most important thing.But choose this for you no one else . Choose this so you can sleep at night knowing any mistakes any cells left .You take it on yourself and you choose peace of mind and go have fun with vaginal bachtherpylol I told my Dr we gotta marry now first sex I've have in 5 years lol .plus every session they run a quick scan to insure your cancer free.Advice i beg all ladies to do it ..I got session in the morning and one mondsy at 130 and i get to ring that bell .all because i choose to do this for myself.Notjing bad at all about it .luv to u all and dm me fb if any questions I've been done a journey that most would have given up.muah to u all .

There are no planned treatments for right now,

Although I am not a candidate for brachytherapy (given internally through the vagina) or EBERT (external radiation of the abdomen are) I have been cancer free since my 9/11/2923 hysterectomy (based on results of my every 3 month Pet Scans, Pap smears, a very new cutting edge blood testing (by a company named Natera, C125,blood test marker, physical exam by my oncologist).

Part of my still being cancer free is the Kanjinti targeted therapy infusions that I started getting every 3 weeks with my chemotherapy treatment. Even though In had been tolerating the Kanjinti infusions well my oncologist stopped them for good reason. It became well documented that it was causing.congestion heart failure in more people than expected even at times not showing up until 6 months to a year after a person stopped receiving infusions. Most people are put on Kanjinti for only a year but since I was tolerating it so well and since I was not able to receive the protocol radiation treatments my oncologist recommended I stay on the Kanjinti for another year which I did.

At times it’s unsettling knowing I am off a treatment that has been keeping my cancer from coming back, but the plan is should the cancer come back they would discuss options at that time: chemo?, go back on Kanjinti infusions? Try a new drug as there are always new treatments?

For now I pray that God will:
-keep me cancer free,
-give me enough strength and patience to be my husbands caregiver as the downward progression of his Alzheimer’s has worsened
-help me to treasure every moment with Tom
- continue to give me the strength to be there for ladies. On-line, by phone and/or in person who are trying to navigate the stormy waters of the endometrial cancer journey. I feel so blessed to be a part of the lives of each one of you and love on and pray for each one.

Darolyn, thank you for your response and putting Laura more at ease.

Because my pelvic washings contained cancer cells my oncologist/surgeon, the radiologist and I were all on the same page “3 brachytherapy treatments soon after I finished my 6 Chemo (Carbo/Taxol) infusions and to starts Kanjinti (targeted therapy) because I was diagnosed as Stage 111a, endometrial serous carcinoma, HER 2 positive 3 and I had the p53 mutation. I had had what is referred to as a very aggressive cancer with a high rate of reoccurance.

Sadly, it ended up that I was not a candidate for the brachytherapy (internal) or the EBERT (external) radiation.

When the canister for the internal radiation is inserted up the vagina it needs to go straight up so that the radiation will be directed to the vaginal cuff and the pelvic area. They tried a “simulation” for over an hour by inserting a plastic tampon type cylinder and pushing it up into the vagina while also looking I think at CT scans as it was taking place.

When they got near but not near enough to the top of the vagina it would not go any further. It was because I was one of .0003 percent of females that are born with a vaginal deviated septum (thus the vagina does not go strait up but instead bends to the side). I asked if surgery to correct the deviated septum was an option (like they do for deviated septum’s for the nose) but it was not an option.

There was discussion about the possibility of my having 25 sessions of EBERT radiation but because of my co-morbidities (other medical conditions I have including heart and vascular etc) and the fact that since EBERT radiation beams would be wide spread rather than just focused on the vaginal cuff and the pelvic area the risk of my bladder and colon being negatively affected by the radiation was was a major concern.

I was very disappointed getting that news, especially knowing important radiation treatment is when’d it comes to endometrial serous carcinoma.

So Laura, it is great that’s your oncologist is recommending the brachytherapy radiation, that Darolyn has confirmed the benefits comments and that my oncologist and cancer team are also on the same page as far as the best way to treat the cancer.

Ok I have good advice on this it has just happened to in the last week.My hstorectomy was March 13.chemo was set in place then they downgrade my tumor so no treatment required.But like you those dang cancer cells could still be there .I went to a vaginal bachtherpy center and we chose to do 5 rounds of light radiation just in case .Found out yesterday I was right to protect myself.The first round was last week and they saw something.Almost three months later a lesson showed up so Wes of last week they doubled the radiation.Yesterday was my third session out of 5 .They came in and told me I was clean .Just two rounds of bachtherpy killed whatever was left .I get to ring the bell this Monday at 130 after final radiation.Im just saying if I hadn't chosen to do this for myself who knows what that lesson could have lead to . Please please advocate for yourself and I recommend it 100 percent for peace of mind.And you'll know you did everything in your power to prevent a reoccurrence.Im on cloud 9 after yesterday visit it's just one of those wow thank God for my knowledge and will to fight moments..I hope this helps and I pray you do it for precaution.Trust your instincts.In my opinion if your asking questions then there is concern.You sound smart so do vaginal bachtherpy please..It's actually fun .lol alittle embarrassing at first but no big deal .We make it fun .only side effects I had was that last Wes when they did high dose to kill that lesson I had low energy.but dang same price to pay for a few days killing something that could be cancerous.I recommend I beg you to do it .God bless you 💓
