Everyone is different and finds what is right for them. For me, when hair started falling out it was annoying so I had my husband shave it off, I was sad and cried. More so than I thought I would be. My Mom bought me the fabric caps but I didnt like them, I felt the screamed I have cancer. I ended up liking baseball caps or just being bald, wearing earings more and lots of self care to feel good. After treatment I decided to get a wig. I thought I liked it, but just couldn't get use to it. I wore it for maybe a total of 4 hours. This was an expensive mistake for me. Its okay, I found a lovely lady at clinic a few weeks ago that loves her wigs and I am passing it on to her. My hair is growing in slow, Keytruda is likely slowing it down, but it is good. That is my journey :)

Over a grand now raised for Peaches womb cancer just for shaving my head!

I’ve set up a just giving page for peaches womb cancer charity and I’m doing a sponsored head shave.I thought I might as well do it with humour and get something for a worthwhile charity at the same time.x

I obtained a free head covering from Hope Scarves. I work and wanted to feel prepared. The scalp can become very sensitive with chemo. My. Beautician can always match the color. I may want to rent (borrow)a wig from a cancer center closet. I'm ready for a new look.

I knew I would have hair loss so I bought a wig early. For me it was better to be prepared.
I also bought cotton caps on Amazon which I wear a lot.
