Your first follow-up appt after surgery will most likely include a review of your surgical recovery & the results of the pathology reports of your tumor & lymph nodes. This will include the stage of your cancer and a recommended treatment plan based on the results. It is important to ask if your tissue samples have been sent out for genetic analysis and if those results are ready. That analysis will determine if your tumor is could be responsive to specific treatments such as immunotherapy, should that be necessary. Wishing you a stage 1 diagnosis!

I just wanted to jump in and answer my own question for anyone who may read it in the future. My follow up appointment included a review of my pathology report. Also, I received an exam to check my vaginal cuff, as well as examining my abdominal incision. We discussed how my progress has been since surgery and any issues I was having. Other normal things... weight check, blood pressure, pulse, O2. My pathology report did not indicate any further treatment, only to follow up with my ob/gyn for exams every 6 months.
