Alone just had hysterectomy for high grade 3 endimential cancer.1a 15 days later I'm at 2c stage . Waiting treatment what do I do .Not much Dr support Started out 6 rounds chemo now I'm looking at 6 months I don't understand
We have almost exactly the same situation. I am receiving care at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. The tumor board at Hopkins decided on 6 rounds of carboplatin and paclitaxel every three weeks. I will then begin (late May) 5 weeks of 5 days a week radiation and vaginal brachytherapy (not sure how many though). The brachytherapy is because my cancer spread to my cervix with 80% invasion and 95% uterus invasion.
Although my biopsy came back positive in October things have moved relatively quickly for me. Fortunately, I have a cousin who has done cancer research for the last 25 years. She has been a huge help in explaining things I didn’t quite understand with my doctor. Cancer is terrifying for EVERYONE, you are not alone. All we can do is fight and pray for one another. Try to keep your mind on the positives and stay as busy as you feel up to during chemo. My second chemo is in one week and I see why everyone says fatigue is one of the biggest issues but trying to stay positive and active is paramount.
