I wouldn't want to do chemo without a port. My treatments are 6-7 long each time. The drugs are harsh on your veins. Getting the port was an easy process.

Thank y'all so much I knew I was right but Dr office acted so pissed off .I felt like a number instead of human.i guarantee those nurses wouldn't do it without port . Somewhere in all this they loose compassion
Agree with Karen/Christine. Port can be done day before chemo. Mine was outpatient as was my recent removal. Not a big deal. Does not take long.
Hi Daroyln. I agree with Karen. No, I wouldn’t do chemo without a port. The surgery to implant a port was easy and painless for me. Best of care 🤗
