I had the hysteroscopy, myomectomy, polyectomy, biopsy that determined I do have endometrial cancer, 10 days ago.

I've been having post menopausal bleeding and my interstitial cystitis has been awful for 4 months, keeping me up many times throughout the night.

In the two days following surgery my bladder pain went away. But it came back and with it came what's like period pain, mild cramping. It's exhausting me. It's a constant reminder that I have cancer. I want it to go away so I can think… read more

Yes. It was a robotic hysterectomy ( vaginal). I hope you can have that as well !

Thank you Christine. I kind of had my head in the sand, never even considering the fact that it could be cancer. So I didn't do any research at all.

It's endometriod carcenoma, figo grade 2, in a background of endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial polyp.

That is all I know. I'm not able to decipher the rest of my report. So that's all I've got until tomorrow. I know a lot will unfold then.

Was it a vaginal hysterectomy? I'm hoping that's the way my surgeon decides to go as I know healing is much quicker.

Dear Laura. Yes, it is certainly anxiety provoking. You say you are FIGO 2. But is it endometriod, serous, clear cell. I think when you speak to your GYN oncologist you will get many more answers. And yes I suspect you’ll have a hysterectomy. So glad you have access to excellent care! Write down your questions and perhaps have someone go with you to be a 2nd set of ears. Please let us know what your oncologist says. I had to wait 3 weeks from my Gynecologist’s calling me and telling me that I had cancer till my hysterectomy. I had robotic one. Quick recovery. Best of care to you !! Oh. Keep your IC physician in the loop as well. Hoping you can get relief from this
