I am 83 years of age I had a hysterectomy in January . Today I learned my endometrial cancer has spread to my lungs. What should I do?

Dear Camilla. Whether or not to have treatment is a very personal decision. I also have cancer in lymph nodes in chest. Generally endometrial cancer is slow growing, at least compared to other cancers. The treatments options are so much better than before . I have serous EC. Depending on your kind of EC you might have years . Perhaps look at the treatment options : immunotherapy, estrogen blockers ( if tumor is estrogen positive), trials? I’m on Azenosertib ( not fda approved) and it’s a pill. You may want to get a 2nd opinion or go to a cancer center. But at least to know your options before making a decision. I know I’m seeking any treatment because of family. But at some point I’ll say enough. God Bless you in this journey. May He lead and guide you to the right decision for you. I’m living as much as I can in the “ now” trying not to look back at the past nor go too far in the future. 🤗

The best advice: prayer and talking with care team/doctors. A good support group for black women with endometrial cancer is Ecana.org and Afroshare. I will send website in another post

I was told the exact same thing. I am unsure what to do next. I also had a radical hysterectomy and then chemo, radiation and now immunotherapy. I am 71. I don't want to pursue other treatment and feel I am just going to let things take their course. .
