Hi Carol. I’ve not been on Fulvestrant, but for most intramuscular injections if the medication is at room temperature and if you put a cold pack on the injection site 15 minutes prior to the injection, it should help.

Thanks for your reply. I am on Tamoxifen now but will probably be switching. I do know the Fulvestrant injection is intramuscular. Have you been on it? How uncomfortable is it? Any tips to be less painful? Thanks again. Carol

Hi Carol. Was this because it’s an intramuscular injection that there would be pain? It was a med that was used to treat breast cancer . They are now using some meds that were typically used for breast cancer for some EC ( estrogen +. Or HER 2 +. ). I was on Tamoxifen for a while. Best of care to you 🤗
