I am Stage 3b grade 1 endometriosis cancer, had a robotic hysterectomy and feel better than I have done in years- suffered many years with bone problems
It's wonderful to hear you're feeling so much better after your robotic hysterectomy! That's a real win worth celebrating. 🎉
Some MyEndometrialCancerTeam members have shared similar feelings about wanting to avoid radiation, especially when recovery has gone so well.
That said, for Stage 3B endometrial cancer, radiation is Show Full Answer
I am Stage 3C1 grade 1 , had a complete hysterectomy , chemo with Keytruda , on Keytruda maintenance now . I have not had radiation
I was the same stage as you and did not decline the radiation. It’s not as bad as you’d think to undergo treatment. Yes, you end up getting fatigued but once the treatment is finished, it’s really a tiny blip in the grand scheme of life. I didn’t feel “sick” during treatment, and could mostly do the things I did before, just needed naps.
I’m in remission now, and feel like I didn’t really go through cancer mainly because I still feel like myself though I do admit I have some lingering side effects from treatment, but they are very tolerable.
Surgery and radiation were my only treatments. It’s been a year since I completed everything.
